IS YOUR THEN AFFECTING YOUR NOW ?

Imagine, A glass of water filled up till the brim. Now, you need to fill it with more water. What would you do? Ostensibly, you'd empty it and fill it again. Now, think of this glass as your life and  the pre-filled water as your past. A much cliché example. Yet the most apt one. 
I have often heard people exclaiming, "I had a terrible past, and the reason why i am like this is my past." No dude, NO!!
You're like this because you're still stuck on something that has already happened and won't change. The more you're stuck in the past, the more difficult it is to live your present. You need to stop dwelling on something that has already happened and you thinking about it, would not change it. You can't start the new chapter if you keep re-reading the last one.


To heal a wound, you ought to stop touching it.


Until you release the wounds of past, you are going to bleed. You have to bandage. It may leave a scar behind, but it would be just to remind you the strength you'd put in to recover from it.

Whatever it may be, whatever you may have done, accept it and let it go. You're not perfect, you're capable of making mistakes.Stop hiding from the shadows of your past. Don't get trapped in the shattered memories. Just make peace with what happened, that's the only way to start again. 

You know what the mere truth is? The truth is unless you let go, unless you forgive yourself, unless you forgive the situation, unless you realize the situation is over, you cannot move forward, peacefully. 

AND, by making peace with your past, it isn't necessary to think of future. Don't let the sadness of your past and the fear of your future, ruin the calmness of your present. Remember, Empty hands are easy to hold things. 
It would be much easier for you to live your present, if you're just in the moment, not behind, not ahead. Just at the right moment, enjoying the right thing. 

You can live in the moment by adopting five simple ways. which are:
#1 Focus on the now. Duh! that's but obvious. You're actually trying to do that. 
#2 Pay attention to the small things around. Just observe, what you have now.
#3 Smile. It would help in living the moment, plus it may enhance your personality.
#4 Do small acts of kindness. They are random and spontaneous- in the moment. Do what moves you. 
#5 Give thanks. You owe your thanks to the one's who have stood beside you in your difficult times, especially your parents. Be thankful to them, because they didn't abandoned you at your worst.

These ways may seem just philosophical, but these are a few steps that count. Believe me, the day you stop cheating your present with the past, the story changes.
 Just remember, you have a new story to write everyday and it won't be the same as the previous one.

  1. But still the past in you will never fade away and if that's with a close one it will keep coming in front of you every time what about that
